hi fellas, i just had to reformat my hard drive and thought it would be interesting to see what people would install as their first programs

Oddly enough I just formatted my windows partition. First I installed firefox, then spywareblaster, then spybot s&d, then media player classlic, and then Itunes.

Instantly, on a desktop, I'll install openbox, my openbox docks, firefox, elinks, uh, really, I don't know because I keep an automated list so that if I ever do have to reinstall, I can just use the list to get my system back the way it was right after base-install...  :heart: linux

wooo 7zip can compress 2-5% better in its format no one uses.  Most stuff i download anymore people dont even compress.  It doesnt make a difference on multimedia stuff and cd images.  I like winrar more :smile:.  If your zipping up text documents 7-zip will do better.

I just make sure i have network drivers then i can download / crack anything i need.
