2nd from casing w/overlay how ?

hey guys, need a little help !
my gorilla freind harvested his first flush from a casing that had overlay, the casing was scratched before the first flush
anyhow he had not misted since the appearance of pins, so the casing started drying and pulling away from sides of container, at this point he noticed pins down along the sides of the casing growing every which way. what to do now to get second flush, he is afraid there are pins under the casing that will rot and cause contams. should he remove entire casing layer and re-case or just scratch up the casing down to the substrate ? can someone please help ?

it happened to my imaginary friend once, i think its worth a look at the underside of your babies, maybe you'll have to chop off some aborts or thick mycelia (pre-aborts, i'd say, bumpy stuff) but that's not a bad thing at all. what you scrape out is still mycelia. =d~~

Yank those pins, deep scratch, fill in the sies with damp vermiculite and resume misting.
