Getting audio from video?
    #3570646 - 01/02/05 12:24 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

Hey I just thought I'd see if anyone knew the answer to this before I sign up on another forum to ask it. I have a video file on my computer and I want to get the audio in mp3 format (preferably in different tracks). Does anybody know a (free) program to do this? I would much rather do this with software as opposed to messing around with the audio out and audio in ports on my sound card (I don't have the cables).

Thanks

you can always just record the audio with something like http://audacity.sourceforge.net and then compress it into .mp3.

ImTOO.Audio.Encoder.v1.0.13.1030.Incl.Keymaker-EMBRACE

^ That's what I use, it encodes audio and also extracts audio from video files into any format you want.

I used Audacity, it was very easy to use and highly recommended.

virtualdub's good for extracting audio.

Then you can use CDEX (get it on www.download.com) to encode.

.fs.

if you have adobe audition/ cool edit pro which most likely you would find on kazaa or shareaza just go to insert on the bar and down to audio from video file, that easy and go to save as. enjoy
