a trip report of a f'ed up trip

My brother and I went fishing with my dad yesterday, and my bro hadn't tripped in about 6 months. I have tons of shrooms and decided to let him know (no one but a very few select people know) and told him we could trip later that evening but he was really wanting to do it out on the bayou. I had a bunch of shroom powder but no scale, so I just took like a heaping tablespoon for each of us and mixed it up in some OJ and we guzzled it. We headed off with pops to go fishing.
I had a pretty nice buzz going within 30 minutes so I knew this was going to get fairly intense, but it was much more than that. I was functionable, but my brother became totally introspective about an hour and a half into it (about an hour after leaving the dock). At first it was cool. The sky was crystal clear and a dark blue. There were thousands of birds. The trees looked so beautiful with the moss hanging from them.
The visuals were very intense. The trees started to appear as if they were dripping colors from them. I caught a fish (a big bass) and it was the most incredible creature. It was right after catching that fish that I noticed my brother wasn't fishing any longer. He was sitting with his hands folded and his head down by his knees. He started saying he was cold. He was belching and farting. He'd then say he was hot. My dad started asking him what was wrong and I just knew he was going to start blurting out that I'd given him mushrooms, which wouldn't have been considered cool by my dad. He just wouldn't like it. My dad and I kept fishing, my dad turning and asking him if he was okay, and he'd just say his stomach hurt. Then he suddenly stood up and he kept repeating over and over shit like "Life is so interesting" and "Family is so great" and all this stuff like that. He got up and walked over to my dad and gave him a hug and told him he loved him. Then he told me what a great big brother I am. He started saying things like "I have so many thoughts in my head I think I'm going crazy." And my dad was like "What's wrong?" And then I said "Oh, he's fine", and my dad said "How do you know?", and I was like, uh, because.... Then I started thinking my dad knew what was going on.
Anyhow, all of this lasted for about an hour or so. He'd sit down, we'd fish, then he'd start mumbling shit that sounded crazy as could be. I couldn't do anything to control him.
I hated doing it, but finally I took out a couple xanax and told him to take them. My dad asked what I was giving him and I told him it was for the belching and gas. He took them and about 20 minutes later was fine. He was still talking some crazy shit, but he was back with me.
Anyhow, I've done some stupid ass shit, and that falls in with them. It would have been a really cool trip with just me and my bro out on the bayou, but with my dad there it became fucked up.
The rest of the day was very good. But that first half was fucking hell.

Never trip in an area, with someone who you dont want to know your tripping, and that you cant escape (say your going out or something).
Its a recipe for dizaster

Damn Sup, didn't you read SS7's thread about him tripping while his parents were home?
Glad it turned out ok in the end and i'm sure you learned your lesson, but set and setting is very important. It really, really sucks learning the hard way.

Dude- you should know by now that tripping (esp. with family) who don't know is worse than boring- it's potentially dangerous- that being said: -cudos on you keeping a cool head through all that and keeping him under wraps- I don't trip on anyhting without a couple of xanax or a hanfull of valium. I bet that bass looked awesome- and considering how good even things like macaroni taste on a shroom comedown, I bet it was excellent eating. This is the second time I have heard about people catching bass in two weeks or so now and I'm just gonna die if I don't get me one. Sounds great (save for the Dad-monster).

If I caught a bass while on shrooms, i'd probably throw it back because I wouldn't be able to kill it.

I'm 35, he's 27. We've tripped around the folks plenty, so neither of us really thought much about it. The problem was being out in a boat with our dad. Never did that before, and won't again.

Fish is about the only meat I do eat, other than turkey occasionally and maybe a steak once a year. I love fish.

wow, tripping on a boat is pretty intense, glad you kept a cool head, but remember, it's best to dose by weight and to be in a safe enviorment.

I once tripped on this large-ish boat (the kind you can sleep in and stuff) the living area had this sort of glass-floor that you could look down. I would look down and I wrote a story in my minde about a great water spirit and such.
