I have a question for the women trippers out there. Now I have only recently been tripping on mushrooms. My first trip was about 2 months ago. I had never had any pyschedelic drug before this time. Here is my question and for all the boys out there who may be reading this, beware...

I was wondering if any of the women had ever had any problems with menstration while taking any type of psychedelic drug? I'm having somewhat of a problem and being that this problem started at the same time that I started taking mushrooms, I was wondering if there may be a connection. :shrug:

I could be totally wrong about the connection, but I would like to know if any other women have encountered anything similar, as far as periods and drugs go.

Oh, my problem:
Periods way to close together....two weeks. Very odd and very unusual for someone like me who has always been regular. Any info would be helpful and all PM's are accepted if discussions are to be private.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I'll give you an example :
if you shroom, and you have a stomache ache for a whole week or so; people automatically will say that the mushrooms were the cause of the pain.(eventhough this is definately not always the case)

That's a known fact and goes back to survival-instincts: you ate something wrong and you have a bad effect -> the shrooms are the cause.

On the other hand; shrooms aren't exactly fruit and vegetables. They're a fungus, but normally it shouldn't harm your body that much.
In the best case it's a small physical defect.
If you would continue to have problems , better to go see a doctor anyway.
It's best not to toy with your body and take your health seriously.

Hey Desiree,

The only problem I've had with periods and tripping is that this combo tends to escalate any emotionalism and moodiness I have during this time.

I've even noticed my periods become more regular when tripping often, although that probably has no connection to the mushrooms since if I am feeling well/not depressed, they always come more regularly.

My girlfriend had a really heavy period a day after we tripped, she was scared, thought there maybe be something wrong. She thought the mushrooms might have been the cause.

Turned out fine.
