Okay i'm going shroom hunting and there are hella cows everywhere! i'm wondering what are the chances of me dying from eating one of those shrooms? haha if you were me and you saw shrooms galore..you would eat em right? write back with your replies

that is the most uneducated thing i've read, along the lines of Drunkgoat's posts ... if you don't know what kind of shroom it is don't fucking eat it. you will put out a bad name for shroomers if you become another Amanita Virosa casualty, which i hope to god you can tell the difference between that and a Psilocybe ... do as you wish but at least try to be intelligent. read up

We went shrooming last night.........It is funny my dad told me about the field..."You see that son...That is the best shrooming field on the Ms Gulf Coast" lol....What are shrooms dad.?......Needless to say I went there and their were shrooms everywhere........but ONE BIG PROBLEM...............They looked exactly like p cubensis...but they were huge. Most of the Caps were around 5 inches wide......They were mature shrooms as well.....
THey had the dimples on their cap..The cap was becoming convex on the older ones....Their gills were dark grey/brown. The spore print was chocolate. They had a white veil......but it wasn't really that dark....
The cap was a golden color and was darker in the middle.
When I would pinch the stems or cap it would bruise a bit. But they never stained purple. IF THEY would have stained purple I would have used them.........But I they didn't so I would n't take that chance. I have no trouble id'ing the smaller ones...but the larger shrooms through me off. Man a bag full of questionable mushroom sucks......Oh well.....How would y'all go about id'ing them........ I was going to ask my dad...but that is a last resort.............

HAHA! I know a guy was into alsorts of shit, and when he found out from one of my friends that psilo shrooms grew on the uni. campus, he went (after snorting some speed) and picked every shroom that he found that looked 'magical' to him and gobbled it down... funniest thing was, i got a knock on my door at 7:45am from one of this guys friends with some of the shrooms this guy had eaten...(fucken very annoying!) ofcourse, they stained yellow and nasty!! He and his two friends had spent the last five hours sitting on either one of the two toilets in their house or a bucket vomiting and diarrhoea-ing constantly - sound like fun??

Well, if it didnt stain blue-blue greenish, and the spores werent a purple color, I wouldnt eat it.
Ask your dad though, he has gone shrooming in that feild before right? A local shroomer who has dealt with the feild and the same kind of mushrooms will know far more about what you have (in essence, not biologically) than anyone on this board. He won't tell you how mycellium functions and produces psilocin, but he can tell you what to eat and what not to eat.
