terrarium with soil

im plannin on having a terrarium with other plants in it and have soil in it, im gonna put perlite in it so the humidity will rise and also leave a nice amount of space for the cakes and i was wonderin if this is ok for the rice cakes?

If the temps and humidity are correct, I dont see why not. But those plants and soils will increase your contamination risk.

I did this a few years ago with a casing. I was trying to create a nice little garden for my mushies. So, I burried the whole casing into a potting mix,added two small plants to each side, and left the top off the terrarium. I misted twice a day hoping that the plants would create a humid enviroment enviroment for the casing.I then left it by a window to get indirect sun light and it worked. I didn't get a huge flush, but they were some of the healthiest,biggest shrooms I've grown to date.

so after i get the cakes in casing i can plant some tropical plants in my terrerium? i got like a 20 gallon one so its pretty big.

right now i have some small rocks on the botton of my terrerium and i was thinkin if i can put soil and perlite on the bottom as well and plant some plants and then after the cakes are ready i could make the casings and put em in there?
