Still No Humidity
    #348854 - 06/25/01 07:02 PM (22 years, 9 months ago)

It's been over 50 hours since I setup the perilite and placed my casings on them.. and it is still totally dry inside the terrarium. No water at all on the sides or top.. i slide my fingers around the inside and its completely dry. Is this maybe because the lid to the terrarium is not air right?

The lid doesn't need to be air tight. Get a humidity gauge and check to see what its at. At higher temperatures there won't be as much condensation on the sides. How much perlite do you have(inches)? How much water is there?

Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.

Well then you should have a good inch of water at the bottom. Make sure you mist the top perlite really well so that it is absorbing moisture, if it is dry it won't wick up the water very well. The misting should put a good bit of humidity into the chamber and the perlite should be able to keep this humidity up.
