Casing Hibernation?

A friend will be going on vacation in a few day's. He has several casing that have had a first flush and are going flush again soon. He wants to know what he can do to prevent the next flush for a week or so. If the casings are put in the refridgerator will that slow the flush till they are taken out?

Yes, a sealed ziplock, then into the fridge.
