mcewan's scotch ale

has anyone here ever tried this? i think it's one of my favorite beers. it's a very dark ale. black as coffee. imported from scotland. very smooth, sort-of carmel-y fruity flavor to it. has that 'organic' ale taste. you can also definitely tell that there is some alcohol in it (8%). very good stuff, but a little pricey. highly recommended!

We have McEwan's at the Pub I work at. It is the Superlative Medium Scotch Ale, it is the standard. However, this brew is too sweat for me, I prefer Belhaven Scotch ale over McEwans; it ain't as sweat and has more hop taste to it. Besides we have Belahaven on Tap so it is easier and cheaper to drink. I tend to stay away from the sweater beers.

McEwans 70 shilling > *

70 shilling is the cheapest beer you can buy in Edinburgh at a pub,
1.70 a pint all day every day. AWESOME.

mcewans is good, it reminds me of mackesson xxx. kind of weird tasting, but dank if you drink say a sunrye-mcewans-petes wicked ale-mcewans. flavor gets better the more that you drink,but i don't know why :drunk:
