My Health Problems : Update

I ve had a lot of people ask me in threads , pms and AIM how I am doing after that scary post I made a month or so ago about cancer. So I figure Ill tell everyone at once. Well after the hospital and tons of visits to doctors I have a handle on what's wrong with me. Basically they found a polyp in my colon a decent sized one which almost always means cancer. Thats what I was told by the doctors. Well after a second colonoscopy and a biopsy they found that miraculously even thought the polyp looked advanced it was "pre-cancerous". They removed it with non-invasive surgery and i spent a few days at the hospital. I have been back to my PCP and a couple specialists and my prognosis is good, i have to keep monitoring it and i was offered a chemo cycle if i wanted it but im not taking it...the docs said it would just be precautionary and not NEEDED. just two days ago i was diagnosed with a super painful inflamation of chest cartilage called costochondritis, which sometimes accompanies gastro intestinal problems. it really really SUCKs but im happy with any condition thats isnt fatal after my cancer scare....i have been living with my parents for awhile (dial-up internet :frown: :frown: )to recover and such, which blows ass. Thankfully im moving back to my apartment on sunday :smile: :smile: so basically except for a bit of pain, its allllll good and ill be around to bother the shroomery for awhile longer :smile:

had a friend with testicular cancer he is a real bs'er so i thought he wa joking and he waasn't. He got it chopped out and is ok now. Glad yours wasn't serious.

hmmm that sucks i talked to a guy around my age with the teste cancer when i was waiting at the oncologists...he had a nut removed but it spread and he was doing the chemo thing, i felt soo bad for the guy...good thing is testicular cancer is highly curable even if it spreads, thats what lance armstrong had

..that shit sucks, I hate to hear about things like that, my aunt that is almost 10 years younger then my dad... she died of cancer, a tomor that was near her small intestines....it didn't get caught early enough so it was pretty sad...I fear a lot of us will have a painful and suffering death sometime....that is why I live in the moment now, because you never know when you are going to die...
