 Anyone been to an Umphreys Magee show?

there are a ccouple of Unphreys shows for New years here in illinois and i was gunna go to them and was wondering if anyone who has been to one of there shows before knows what kind of drugs follow them.thanks

Umphrey's the shit, i saw my first show a few weeks ago! I was very impressed with the way they sounded! I also thought about hittin the nye shows in chitown too! As for the drugs go, i'm not sure i was there for the music!!

i was supposed to go to that Umphreys Show, KK (in GR, right?) - but then didn't have a ride.
I've seen them before... an old roomate of one of my friend's is good friends with the whole band, so last summer when they came to here, he threw a huge after-party for them.
as for the drugs... use common sense and don't talk about illegal things on public forums. if you only want to go to the show for drugs - then just stay home and huff some gas - we don't need people like that bringing stress to nice shows!

yea they came to my school last year
i took some acid, went to their show and had a pretty fun time
i didnt see many drugs there but i really didnt look either, i had gotten the acid elsewhere and just saved it
anyways yea it was cool

Yup, seen 'em twice at NYC's magnificient Bowery Ballroom. They are playing out here again Dec. 10th at Irving Plaza which I may try to check out. Great jam band that is not all happy-go-lucky pansy flakey fluff. They aren't afraid to rock out Sabbath-style if the tangent takes them that way. Usually play two sets, so you're in for a good 2 hours+ set. Never bought any goodies at any of their shows. You're better off getting hooked up pre-show, in my humble opinion. Boomers will absolutely compliment the experience. Jake is one HELLUVA guitarist!

I missed them at Bonnaroo because I was lost and intoxicated on Shakedown...
And at this festival I went to, the Hippy Hill Hoodang, they were supposed to play but they backed out after the promoters bailed on the second night, or some shit.
Shitty. I've heard they are a great band, and I knew they toured around with Sound Tribe Sector 9 before, and I know anyone affiliated with Sound Tribe has got that clean vibe, if you know what I'm sayin.

My friend went to see the show in seattle last october. He loved it.
I woulda gone but it was 21 and over 
But i've listened to a few live shows off www.archive.org
and they rock hard. You can tell they grew up listening to lots of metal

I believe I may have seen them at the 2002 Bonnaroo..but I honestly don't remember very well.

I saw them at the Temple Club in Lansing. It was a great show, but the sound guys sucked ass! Thats the only thing that ruined it. They played a real nice set, though. If they ever come to your area I highly suggest going to see them.

They were playing here tonight actually. I'm not a huge fan or anything but a friend of mine let me listen to some of thier stuff and it was definitely pretty cool. I would have went and saw them but I had to work.

saw em at bonarroo. friggin rocked!! that was the first and only time i've seen them. hope to see them again. why ask about the drugs? they're at just about every show if you know where to look and how to ask.

I've seen UM a few times and always enjoyed their shows. Seen them in two different bars, in a small outdoor amphitheatre, and at Bonnaroo. They are great musicians, lots of talk about them on a few other bords/mailing lists I read.
See them while they're still playing bars and smaller venues!
