According to the mayans, or the interpretation of their predictions anyway, the first change in human perception will occur on the 4th of december this year resulting in the collapse of the economy.  God knows if this will happen or not, will be exciting anyway if it does :smile:

I dont know if I could bare a lifetime of the way things are right now, sorry couldnt find a better way to word that

Heh, I dunno about you but where I live the economy has already just about collapsed. I'm in the center of the 3 most unemployed counties in the state. And no, I won't name the state. Just suffice it to say that things are looking REALLY bad around here already. Jeez, ur wiggin me out with that mayan shit. *shudders*. Got any cool links?

It is about that time...if you look at the timeline of history, civilization pretty much started with the agricultural revolution, then a few thousand years later, the industrial revolution..both were massive shifts in the way people thought and acted (of course there were many smaller shifts in human behavior, but those were the two biggies)...we're right on the edge of whatever comes next, I believe. Who knows what it will be... Third Wave, by Alvin Toffler, is a good book about this idea

Another realization could be when early nomadic homosapiens began to settle and grow their own food, instead of wander and kill/search for it.

If there is one soon I hope it is for the better of mankind. Like the realization that war is pointless and horrible, but I think that would take a WW3.
