Laugh all you want, but consider why you're asking why someone else won't start a revolution. Is it because you're incapable and need someone else to do it for you?

Right. Keep telling yourself these nutty things. There will be no revolution.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." -Ben Franklin. Unfortunately most people fall under this category. We have a lot to think about in Revolution. It can not come bloodless, and after the revolution who will rule? The ring of power does not lie long in the dust my friends, and I do not believe the people of the United States are willing to participate at a high enough level to ensure that whatever governing body we construct will be one in the interest of the people. As far as the rest of the world I can not say, but for the US, ours is a country that believes the faster, the easier, the cheaper, the better. We are willing to believe what we see at 5:30 am on T.V. and then have the ignorance to spout what we hear in the media as fact at the water cooler! Alcohol, the opiate of the masses? "That remote in your hand is a crack pipe!" :fork:

You use quite a broad definition of revolution.

i think a revolution will happen within (my) life time. With technology increasing at faster rates, communication is easy from one side of the world to the other. I think all culture will eventually vanish and turn into one big one.

I foresee a revolution happening, I'm just curious to see if it's going to a good one or a bad one.

Because most people realize they have it pretty fucking well, and that the chances of their lives being improved by any kind of revolution are startlingly slim, with the astronomically greater probability being that things would be made much worse for the majority of the inhabitants of the country.

In short, most of us aren't stupid.

I think the main reason we haven't had another civil war is because we haven't had a single unifying factor to instigate it yet.  I think a very significant number of people feel there should be another one, but few share these feelings for the same reasons.

No, he had it right.

Why would people want to have something occur which negatively affects them? That just doesn't make sense.

The current United States government has provided the highest standard of living to the highest number of people of any government in the history of the world.

It is your hubris, and absolutely nothing else, that makes you think you could do better.

The overwhelming preponderance of historical evidence points the other direction.

You're not enlightened so stop acting like you are. You're no different then the people you despise, you just parrot different subjects.
