"fountain pumps" vs. aquarium pumps

Looking around for pumps for my PMP on the Internet, I've noticed that sites selling pumps for indoor fountains are MUCH cheaper than aquarium pumps of similar output. The first vendor that I come up with on google when I search for 'fountain pump', http://www.nationalartcraft.com/subcategory.asp?gid=4&cid=39&scid=67, sells a 95 gallon per hour pump for 6.95. That's enough for a good 30 gallon PMP. On the other hand, aquarium pumps in that output range often sell for $40-50+
Has anyone tried one of these 'fountain pumps'? Is there any reason one should avoid them? Are they noisier than their aquarium cousins?

edit: Heh, I just checked the site I mentioned and noticed that they have a $40 min. order. But the fact remains the same on all other websites - fountain pumps are way cheap!

but they are the wrong pump for a pod.
