That would work but if the bucket is above ground It would have to be insulated. the wind and cold can surround it completely, so it will freeze easier.... As long as you protect it from the direct cold and wind. The myco can handle cold and a freeze but in a small bucket above ground like that. IMHO it would be rougher for the myco to handle. Not to mention it has to be able to drain. Myco loves H20 but it doesnt like to swim.

Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
