Terrerium Question
    #337097 - 06/07/01 02:51 PM (23 years, 4 months ago)

Ok, I am using a regular 10gal aquarium with a custom fitted glass lid and am using the perlite method /w an aquarium pump constantly pumping in air.

The terrerium is lacking the condensation on the sides of the tank, however the humidity gauge i have in the tank is stating the humidity at 95% (As well as other gauges I have tested just to check the calibration of my current gauge)

My question is... should the tank have condensation on the sides? and should I have the air pump.. constantly pumping in air? or should i put it on a timer? I am *GUESSING* that the reason there is no condensation is because of the constant fresh air supply... anyone? :) thx

I have the same type of situation.I've got 3 rubbermaid containers with a cool mist humidifier to ea. of them.I have 3 air exchange holes on ea. of the 4 sides. The RH is between 95-99% yet there is no condensation anywhere.Usually this high of RH isnt good for casings but since there is no condensation i figure it must be ok.( no problems to date)

Anyone else have any experiences with this type of problems? (if it is actually a problem)

Or can give me any info on why there is no condensation?
