Question about DB compost and kit

I was wondering if someone could tell me what's so specialized about the "prefabricated grow chamber" that is sold with the DB compost kit?
thanks

It has holes drilled in it that allow are exchange. I think that's considered a 'static' system, meaning you just let is sit there w/ no maintenance during fruiting.

yep thats exactly it. i loved my kit. grew really big austrailians (will have pics soon) with hardly any work. kind of takes the fun out of cultivation, but really helps with the quickness, and overall weight.
the kit allows for no fanning, or misting. once the compost is colonized all you have to do is give it light, and harvest your crop. it also stays very healthy. i have had two good flushes already with a couple dry ounces from each flush, and my third is on the way. it is a smart investment if you have the money

This DB kit sounds a great deal like the Mycotech kits. I am not sure if Mycotech is around anymore. There was a man at Mycotech by the name of Richard who seemed like he was a good guy (very knowledgeable as well).
Is there a relation here? Can anyone here confirm this?
Thanks!

Holy shitskins batman!.. 2 dry ounces from one flush? That's fuh reeking amazing; even for someone who has a good shroom dealer hook-up a dry ounce is like $150 or more and the Dung Brother's shit kits are only $100, $200 for 50 POUNDS OF POO (thehawkseye.com) So you'd save a bunch of $$, have lots of shrooms that you know where they come from, and have a 'funky' experience in the process! Cool. I'm glad you shared that with us.

yeah i never really looked at it that way cause i dont concentrate on the dealing much. i look at it as i can grow each strain out on the kit one time, and have a really good head stash of this strain for me and my friends for a long time. either way though you do save money in the long run. i would advise alot of people to buy a kit they are great

oh yeah, and thats only the first flush. the second produces a little under two ounces (i think mine weighed to about an ounce and a half), and the third flush still produces about a half ounce. i didnt believe this when i read it on Ryche's site, but after growing them out i see he is right

We're saying the same thing; i'm saying when I get the urge to go on a trip, instead of paying some dealer $25 for 1/8oz. of psi mushrooms I could save that 4 times and get a DB kit and have way more than the ounce I would have paid $200 for. I'm not hatching some mass cultivation scheme... YET! muaHAHAhaaaaaaa

Guys, it's not that great. Monkey got a 30 gm dry flush from 4 pints of cased rye. Total materials cost was $2.33 US. If I'm not mistaken, that's about how much rye is in the kit for spawning.
It's convenient and has good yields, but monkey could get the same results for about $5. Less if he'd get his ass to the feed store. Health food shops are expensive.

Thats a damn good monkey. Maybe you should clone him and send a clone my way.lol.
Tired of pimping yourself on the corner to afford spores? Well throw out that red dress and go to the FSR, for spores even you can afford.

Yea funny think w/ them monkeys . They never leave you alone. Always asking for brown rice and shit! And feed stores are great. What your paying for with ryche is not the ammount you grow but the lack of knowledge you need to grow that much. It's so easy chester the cheetah calls it cheezy . But to each his own my monkeys would rather buy :
2 bales of straw (20lb each)
100lb of manure
10 lb of rye grain
spend less than $200 dollars and leave that tupper-ware box ryche calls a grow chamber in the dust.
