    #334648 -

I just innoc'ed yesterday and put the heating pad on. I came home today and noticed a sour smell. I have 12 half pints in a small tupperware container. I took of the lid and let them air out for a while and the smell is very faint now. I used the ryche substrate recipe with bird seed and am using a hepa air filter. ARE MY JARS DOOMED !!!!! Please help

Let it go for a while and see what happens. If it's only been a day then contamination shouldn't have spread that fast as long as suitable sterilization had taken place.

Yes, good idea, if you seal it airtight, then you will have sour apples... that was your problem.

what if they smell sour and then recover and grow what seem to be healthy shrooms, are the shrooms bad?
would you advise not to eat them?
