Hay everyone goodmorning!!!
DOING PRETTY GOOD BUT 1 cake???
Ralph,are you there, thanks for the gulfcoast good call!!!
Since Im in FLA. Do you remember? I know your bussy.
Have PF cakes in terr. 1 had 2 greenblue spots, I cut out,hit with H2o2.
It fizzed,should of bleach dunked? Put in big jar Inverto.Noticed no fuzzy growth.
2 days latter opened jar, smelled sour not shroomy,I then cleaned jar,cake tossed verm.
Bleach dunked,an put back in jar,will it be OK???

I sure hope so. I am a little leary about the whole dunking in bleach solution. I know hippie (hes the one that made that suggestion) knows his shit and he says it kills all bacteria and molds. Which is good don't get me wrong. But molds are fungi and so are shrooms. They're just a different fungi or mold. I don't know, it just seems a little too risky for me to try. Keep us posted though.

Hippie, I want you to know the above statement was not meant to flame you in anyway. Your advice and teks have given me much success. Bleach just worries the shit out of me.

stain, i was as apprehensive as you. but i had a single cake from some KS i had been battling for 2 months. i decided to birth it, and there was still a spot smaller than a dime, that was uncolonized. this got trich, i cut it out, to make sure it was only on the surface. and decided whaddahell i tried the bleach dunk. i goofed and made it a bit to strong, and it killed a large section of myc on the outside of the cake. now i had been babying these lil bastards for 2 months, and i wasnt giving up lol. soooo i soaked them in distilled water while i was at work. i dunno if it was the two month colonizing time, or the fact the last 2 weeks they had been out of the incubator, in 24 hour light, or what, but withing the 9-10 hours they were dunked, the threw a shitload of pins, and even a tiny shroom on top of the cake.. fucking cool as hell. unless people start getting sick eating bleached dunked shrooms, i think hippie has stumbled on to a great method.
