Feel of my skateboard pretty bad.

Okay, after class I was skateboarding to the bus stop and there is a HUGE hill on the way.  So i skate down that with my book and folder in hand.  At the bottom there is an intersection, usually not too many cars go through the other way.  And I turn onto that road.  So at the bottom i'm going really fast trying to go between a car in the road and the curb, this is at the bottom, and i run over a sewer and my skateboard stops instantly and i FLY off and do a flip in the air, my book and folder fly into the middle of the road and i landed on my side/back and I only got some cuts and scrapes.  It didn't really hurt bad, except my left hand which got cut up and a rock jammed into my palm. 

And the car I was trying to go in between was this hot girl that I have class with.  I can't wait to see what she says about that cause she was looking at me and I felt really stupid, and it was in front of like 10 other various people.

Stupid sewer. :mad2:

Inertia, man. The skateboarder's worst enemy. I hate getting the wheel caught in a rock, or sewer grate like in your case. It usually only happens when there's a good lookin' lady around to watch you fuck up :lol:  Good thing you didn't break any bones, or get crunched by a car!

yeah the smallest rock is the most deadly when it comes to skating, sewers are bastards too! At least you didnt end up like me! that was from falling off a railing though. Bone popped out and everything. Yummy!

Damn, juicy x-rays! The main thing i don't like about hitting a small rock and flying off is getting small rocks in my palms. Sometimes a few will be in there for weeks.

Definately because falls are some of the best parts about skateboarding or booting.  Though I was always a blader rather than a boarder.

You should have smiled and winked at the hot girl in the car when you got back up.  Brush yourself off, give her the ol' "How do you like that?" look and continue on your way.

Tomorrow you may end up sleeping with her. :wink:

My city built a pretty boss park last summer, had a $250,000 prince tag on it...But its over run my little kids, so I don't even go there

yeah Im not too hardcore anymore after my arm turned into shrapnel. I had insurance at the time otherwise it woulda cost me about 17 Gs. eeks! Im currently uninsured so I try to stear clear of the parks as thats where my little accident occured.

The gnarliest spills are always the ones where you run over a pebble and totally eat it eh

Speaking of eating it over nothing, I've made a habit of sessioning after work for 15 minutes or so. I relearned 360 flips (FUCK YES!! Used to be able to do them easier and more consistant than fucking ollies) but landed one of them primo, spun around in the air with my legs in a totally funny position and fell on the palm of my hand. Doesn't sound too rough, but I must have hit a nerve or something. I definitely broke a shitload of blood vessels because I had red lines all around my palm, which kinda looks cool.
My arm was dead the next day from my elbow down. I'm lucky that I don't actually fall very much when I skateboard. I always land on the board and my toe or heel touches, and I look stupid as shit as I stumble and regain my balance. Wreaks havoc on my ankles sometimes though, I wish I could just slam on my side or something when that does happen though.

Yeah, i usually don't wipe out. If I don't land something I am most of the time still on my feet, i barely ever slam really hard.

And I have lots of really nasty falls from just a pebble or something stupid like that.

The last time I actually fell hard doing a trick was last weekend (before that it had been a really long time, especially since i didn't have a board for a month) but I was at a skateboard and tried to noseslide a ledge that was between 2-2.5 feet high, and i don't know how i messed up so bad when i got on but my skateboarding didn't slide at all and I was going pretty fast and didn't have time to put my hands out and landed on the side of my chest. That hurt kinda bad for a few minutes and I got a few scrapes from that.



I looked at the girl in the car and she was looking at me with a face like "HOLY SHIT!" cause i was bombing this huge hill.

And no luck with getting with her, she's super deticated to her boyfriend. But shes got a DAMN nice body. THere is another chick in class that I like more though that actually likes me. I've pissed off the other girl before, she's really self concious and I extremely sarcastically called her a fatass and she practically wanted fight me. But now the tension is lightening up and what not.

ANYWAYS.

I just realized I wrote "feel" in the title and not "fell" and I'm too lazy to fix it.

Don't even worry about it. As long as you picked your board up and did it better next time. I am 22, and I have no car because my 4 Runner blew engy blew up a year ago. Ever since then I've been skating pretty much everywheres I goes, sometimes it sucks. But you'd be suprised. I just like to skate from place to place through the city and transitions - I can't skate street but I appreciate the tech aspects of it. I've had some good times skating in the rain... I just like to skate ...

Somebody mentioned cities where everything is skateable, well that's called San Fransisco. Even though they moved some things around and put anchors on lots of ledges that city was made to skate! Just depends on how gnar you wanna get, same with Monterey! And on a bigger aspect the entire state of Oregon is BLOWING UP with kill concrete parks, not to mention Burnside.

I love riding around in the city. Popping an ollie here and there and a random little trick crusing down the streets. Its so fun. I skate/bike a lot of places I go. I don't have a car.

I love it.

I fell off my skateboard pretty bad.

I mean really what does "Feel of my skateboard pretty bad." mean? Does it mean your skateboard doesn't feel right? Is the skateboard too rough?

Skating around town is key! Popping ollies, nollies, and 180s over everything's the best. There's a big ass route that's like 3km or so and it's a gentle slope from my place to down town. So fun. I've skated that route probably a thousand times and it never gets boring. :heart:

She just keeps on rollin and rollin.

i love crusin down hills. When you are skating street and you have the slope in your favor that is a wonderful thing. Takes lots of effort from pushing away.

By my dads house there is this street with a steep ass hill that isn't that long, but very steep, but then its a 90 degree turn either right or left. If you go right its another little pretty steep hill and the you have to turn left onto a flat road. If you go left you have the option of turning 90 degrees right or going straight, if you go right there is a longer hill that at first is steep but gradually looses the incline. If you go straight you go straight for a little bit, and then take a sharp right and then go down another hill, curve left, go up a tiny hill and down another and then turn right. It all reminds me of a street looge (totally forgot how to spell that). My favorite path is going down, turning left and then going straight, you can build up so much momentum. Only problem is that it is a fairly busy road and I have come close to getting hit and whatnot.

Street Skating is my favorite thing to do. I love going downtown and hitting up awesome spots. I have such a nice video camera that I originally bought for skating and there is a few minutes of actual skating and then random shit, but lots of funny random shit.

I love seeing a huge ass hill, then catching a shitload of speed before you go down it. I always worry about a wheel falling off, as it's happened to me before going down the street and that really fucks you up. I also bought my video camera for skating, and don't have much skating footage with it, but lots of random shit (my friend going down idiots hill, a really steep bumpy dirt road/hill, on his bike with hockey pads on while blackout drunk at night, fracturing his shoulder).
