Alternative Sterilization

Hi, this will be my first time growing, and i would like to start as soon as i can, but unfortunately, I have no access to either a stove, or a pressure cooker. (my kitchen is under renovation for the next few weeks) i'm going to be using the PF tek and i'm wondering if there is another way to sterilize the jars, IE microwave them.. would this be plausible? could i microwave them with some non-metal lid/covering on them then when i take them out, screw the lid on and then innoculate? any suggestions are welcome.

Look in The Shroomery's grow section, I do beleive there are a few techs that are specific for growing using microwave sterilization.

4 out of 5 inmates agree.  The FSR is better than being raped by your overweight roomate!;)

i believe glad makes awesowme 1/2 pint plastic containers perfect for microwave sterilization and are extremely cheap. however the only drawback to microwave sterilization is finding the right water ratios since the m.w. takes ALOT of the water out of the substrate.
