Popcorn

Just wondering if anyone has pics of different stages of popcorn coloinzation? The quart jars are all white but it seem to be thin white all over the kernals and less frequent bright white spots over the jars. They have been like this for a while it seems like. They were knocked up a little over two weeks ago. So if anyone has pics of different stages it would be much appreciated.

Hia. I know someone who is doing a small grow with popcorn. I'll go get some pics today and hopefully they'll be up tonight.

Yours sound pretty well colonized. Different colours of white always freaks me out too. I hope it's not grey. I have had problems with too much water getting in during being PC'd and cobweb mold. both making grey / offwhite colours, and never being helpful.

Are the solid white parts MORE solid white around the edges? If so, I have found that mycelium will do that when fighting against cobweb mold, as well as green molds and lipstick molds.

Any chance of pics?

The myc is all pure white, but it's just randomn brite white on randomn kernals. Lot of the bright white appears towards the bottom. Some of it's on the top. This is a trend throughout the 4 quart jars. The not so bright myc looks like a thin layer around all of the kernals. So my question probabaly is what myc do I want the bright myc or the duller myc? I don't have a digi camera but I think my roommate does, I could probably post pics tonight after he gets home. If you could post pics that would be great recalcitrant.

i think you had too much water in the jar. The kernals might have been cooked for too long. Too much water makes for thin mycelium because it drowns if you will in the water drops.

They should still be ok, because once you case them they will dry out a bit. Just wait untill the jars are coverd white, thin white in this case is probably all youll get.

Ehmm let me see a quart is how many pints? I think about 1 syringe in 5 pint jars maximum.

But better ask someone else I dont have experience with this (YET!) :laugh:
