Looks more like an Omphalotus to me... they're dangerously poisonous. If you want a real ID, follow the procedures in the link given to you previously.

possible, that yellow flesh looks promising
like earlier stated,
need better Description.. pic's of underside
would be nice.. Like gumby said
most likely Omphalotus species..??/
but who knows...

also smell will be helpful and a spore

Thanks for the advice on procedure, I really shouldn't jump into things at one in the morning after an evening with Jack Daniel's.
Couldnt find field guide so I went off half cocked, but still I know not to eat unless absolutely sure.
The next morning I did positively id as Omphalotus,Jack o'lantern.

goood thing I didn't eat, doh
