contamination?

i a first timer trying to grow and think i have a some contamination in my best jar. i have six pints and only one has started to show good growth, but while the white mycelium are growing there looks like this green looking shit starting to grow near the top. should i let it be or what? just one jar so far..... thanks all

You will never win that battle if the green mold started this early. Give it a few days and if the green mold it getting worse. go outside far away from your house and dump it then go change clothes.

Well the changing clothes part might be a little extreme, but dimitri is right, if you have a garbage disposal you can send it down the drain.... next time use a bigger verm barrier, and when you pick the jars up to check on them 10 times a day, don't tilt them or you will shuffle the verm barrier. 1 inch verm layer until you get better at it. GL
