Holes for airpump lines in PMP (magash?)

Hello I have asked this before but I got different answers on it and ofcourse I want to do it right!
WHen I make the PMP with Geolite, where should I make the holes for the wire of the aquarium heater, and the holes for the airtubes?
The higher the better or the lower the better? Maybe lower more water goes through?
Thanks 4 the help!
MF

I think i commented on this before also. I probably wasn't clear. Every pmp i've seen has the airline holes pretty low ... just above the surface of the geolite. But, they are sealed up around the lines with silicone. If there have been holes for air to escape from, magash has plainly said to put them high or in the lid.

Heyaz!! Yes atomic you responded be4. Maybe I mix up the dedicated airholes with the holes for the wires. Do other people with succesfull PMP use (high) dedicated airholes (stuffed with filterstuff) in such a PMP? Your help is highly appreciated! MF BTw why dont I dont just trust your word and make high airholes? Hmz cause I am not sure if they are needed, I read many PMP postings but I could not find the answer. Will do some more searching as well! Found out that people disagree a bit on it and that the experienced guys like Anno and castanze dont recommend the extra airholes.... But indeed if you make them, make them high! Case closed now 4 me, thanks Atomic!

My "exhaust" holes are set at about the same level as my casings. about 2" about my geolite. The holes for the hoses were made with a drill and the hoses get a tight fit (no need for silicone) but enough to perform normal without clogging the lines. Good Luck.
P.S. Exhaust holes should be filled with either polyfill or tyvek (preferably polyfill).

Check this out and read what magash says or else you're just going to keep getting everyone's different opinions: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...rue#Post3080371 If that link doesn't work do a search for "FAE holes for Pmp?" Hope it helps

Hey Atomic, way cool! That particular airhole thread I had not seen yet...
I will test my fruiting chamber also before I will use it. I will start testing without the holes, if temp and humid is ok I want to try a first grow. If things can improve but temp and humid is ok then I will start with 1 dedicated airhole, which I will be filling with that white aquarium filter stuff....
Thanks mister!
