WANT TO GROW.......NEED ADVICE

Hello, I'm going to attempt to grow some Golden Teacher spores....
I know theres alot of stuff I need to know, so if someone couls explain, or diresct me towards some info, it would be appreciated.
-How hard is it to have a succesfull Harvest?
-What do I need, exactly?
-What kind of care is needed?
-What conditions to grow in?
-How to prepare?

If you take the time to make sure you are following the teks properly, there is no reason that you shouldn't be able to have a successful first grow. I successfully cased on my first grow.

-How hard is it to have a successful Harvest?->not hard if you keep it clean.
-What do I need, exactly?->a lot of patience, a little time and some money to buy equipment.
-What kind of care is needed?->mostly monitoring if you make it automated.  If you go with manual setup, you'll need to tend to them at least 3 times a day for about 15 minutes.
-what conditions to grow in?-> there is optimum level and minimum and maximum specs.  You'll need to invest in some aquarium heaters and air pumps if you want to hit optimum.
-how to prepare?-> getting information is first.  Then you can make you jars then study the next steps over next 2 weeks during incubation.  Once you have enough information, you can decided and build the fruiting chamber to birth(take the cakes out of the jars) them into.

We'll hit up on this a lot more... but the questions cover just about everything and it's very impractical for me to outline the whole thing.  So, as you read, ask your questions.  We'll be happy to answer them for ya. :wink:

First is you need to know the consequences of growing... Is it legal where you are? It says NY. I know it's illegal to grow in NY. So are you ready for the consequences if you get caught?

Anyways... You can't buy cakes. Mycelium is illegal to possess, buy, sell or grow. Mycelium has alkaloids that are on DEA's schedule I. That mean no legal trade anywhere in US.

You can buy spores, however, from any number of vendors. Try ANY one of the sponsors. They are all very very very good. You'll need to make your cakes from spores. I know what you'll ask next... You can choose ANY of cubensis. They are all about the same. Just pick a few. Some vendors have deals. Check the sponsor section of the forum. They post their deals on there as well as their web pages.

To make cakes, you'll need to do some reading. So, go read under mushroom info->basic cultivation. PF tek is good place to start. Don't worry about the yield or any of that. they'll come naturally.

My advice is read. Read everything and anything about the wonderful mushroom. I didn't only read the one tech I'm planning on using but I read all the techs on this site, several times, and if you lack motivation to read, read, and read just imagine what your going to be able to do with your knowledge.
