LEAST favorite dead songs
    #3268025 -

mexicali blues
casey jones (sometimes)
not fade away(sounds too much like that 'I want candy" song)
and
playin in the band when they had that freakin donna godcheaux bitch, she totally ruined that song with her "OOOHHHOHOHEEEHEHEEEEAHAAAHAAAHAAAAAAOOO!!!!!" solo, god she sounds like a freaking dying cow....

This is hard.

I agree that Donna does ruin Playin'

Some of the slower ballads that never seem to end like It Must Have Been the Roses and To Lay Me Down

I really like Unbroken Chain but it doesn't always translate very well as a song performed live. Love the studio version though.

Stagger Lee never really struck my fancy.

Oh and Ramble on Rose never really did it for me.

Don't get me wrong, I like all the above mentioned songs but those are just a few that would be at the bottom of my list. There really isn't any GD song I dislike.

Sorry but she was an off key, raging alcoholic that wailed like a cat in heat. But sometimes I like her backup vocals when the'ye less pronounced and don't drown out Jerry or Bob.

hahaha, always ragging on Donna,  I don't think she fit either but I like some of her songs like sunrise and a few of her back ground vocals  singing louder than bob or jerry

it seems like she did pretty good on slower songs and in studio, i presume, because she was better able to hear herself. I mean, on Playin' you know the part im talkin about:
"AHHHEEEAAAOOOHHHHEEEYAHHHHAHHAAAHAAHAAA"
totally ruins the song for me.

i do really like her on sunshine an other slow ones though

Donna and Jerry were a perfect match on this one album. Dont Let Go was simply amazing.

I recall listening to Friend of the Devil on The Winterland live album and thinking that Jerry was constantly carrying Donna, however she does do great on most songs

My least favorite Dead song is probably Casey Jones, or One More Saturday Night, justt because they would play OMSN every fucking time that they played on a saturday.

least favorite dead songs:

casey jones
truckin

those are prolly their most well known songs but they are repetitive as hell. with most dead songs its, the more i listen to em, the more i like em but, this is def not the case with those two.

As for donna, yes i agree, most of the time, shes annoying as hell! Dat bitch needs to know her place and stay in the background in stead of moaning like a banshee. i love jerry, bobby, phil, bill, and mickey (and what ever keyboardist they had at the time) so donna needs to know her place--back up singer--so stay in the back...
