possible contamination?

is this contaminaton or just a water stain? ive never seen anything like it before and several more jars have the same looking lines. thanks.

Most probably that's contamination. Anyway, be patient. Wait and see how it develops, time will tell...

I had very similar looking brownish lines of somthing like you have on my jars, but not to your extent. I think it may be a sort of indicator of "Wet Spot, Sour Rot" contamination. I had that happen to alot of my jars, almost 1/3. My healthy jars did not have the brown line. This is just my guess. I thought some jars were contaminated, so I cut them in half and dunked them, and they are doing ok for now (one pinning very well). Others I cut and saw they definately had the sour rot. This is probably a bad idea, but I cut off the contam. and kept them in the terranium cause there is so much mycelium groing on them. Maybe you can isolate in it a 2 leiter with perlite and see how it goes?

if someone is willing to give me their email address i can send a large high quality picture of these brown lines. this website has no pictures of contamination that look like these lines. i need an expert opinion. please help me!

You can upload pictures here at the shroomery. The image files must have a limited size. So if the image is too large, there are free online "image resizers" to help you get what you want.
