Several jars with bacterial contams(bad smell but no colors), some are even pinning in-vitro, 80-90% colonized. I can toss them but I'd rather not, is there a dunk that can eliminate bacteria? How harmful IS bacteria in comparison to mold contams?
Please don't answer if you "read the answer off the Internet", I'm curious what other growers have done in this situation and what their results were.
It depends on the extent of the contamination but normally people are advised to toss anything with bacterial contamination. You can try a 1or2:100/bleach:water dunk, but you might loose this batch and the process is not always effective. Invitro contamination must be dealt ASAP. Anaerobic bacteria are harder to fight invitro due to its enclosed environment, i would suggest arranging a terrarium for further growth after the dunk. Pics would be great
