What if you leave a cap for spore printing, and after 24 hours
go check it, and you find a FAT BLACK CIRCLE ??? without the normal print-stripes the cap leaves....(?) I have never seen a so heavy print before, so i was wandering.....could the caps spores contaminate while printing? Is this the darkest print ever? Should i be happy? And what about a little cap that was left to print, and turned to black overnight, without leaving any print behind? What happened?? why did that little cap rot? I tosed it but........WHY? :(

Sounds like it was just a good spore producer. Was there anything that could've cause the spores to disperse rather than make a gill pattern? Was the table vibrating? Loud music in the room/close to an audio speaker?

Not sure why the cap rotted.. How were you printing? How clean was the environment? Was there any air in the container? If you suffocate them, they will get slimey and rotten.

What are you going to do w/ the fat black print??

No, there was nothing that could have cause the spores to disperse...just a very good spore producer i guess, as you assume.
As for the other cap, i didnt suffocate it, i just placed a glass over it as with all other prints :|
I want to save the fat black print, but i can send you a similar if you like. PM me,and thanx for the reply ;)

all my prints are black and fat. i leave them undisturbed for 48 hrs. if i remove the caps at 24 hrs it is much lighter.
