i made some pedro tea and twice while i was cooking it while the ground cacti was in there i forgot about it and it reduced to almost no water so i added more let it sit and drained the juice, tasted it and it tasted normal. then i was going to reduce that for drinking and left it on the stove overnight like an idoit and woke up and there was just a bunch of brunt green and black shit on the bottom of the pan, useless or no? i put more water in it to turn the gunk back to liquid goo but don't really want to be drinkin it if it's worthless.

Mescaline is pretty stable at high temps. The question is how high the temps got with no water in the pot.

I dunno. I'd taste that gunk and see if it tastes like mescaline or not...
If it did taste like alkaloids, i'd redissolve it and drink it. Cactus is just too scarse for me to throw out a dose...

i added water to it and it looks really discusting, like charcoal water, and smells like cheap whiskey for some reason. it was left all night since 6pm last night til like 9am this morn, it was burnt pretty bad. i'm gonna take o sip of shit and see how bad it is and maybe drink if not so bad, at least i didn't pay for it but still that was like a year + all burnt up :frown:

DRINK IT!

The charred shit causes cancer in the long run. It would be like smoking a cigaret for your intestines.

Besides that I think it should be fine.

Ya have any NaOH and a non polar solvent?

2 steps: add a few teaspoons of NaOH and your NPS; Evap NPS.

If there's anything of value in your 'cheap whiskey', you'll get crude mesc carbonate powder. Repeat until no more bitter powder comes out of your burnt tea. Eat  :smile:.
