what is the fastest spore from innoculation to fruit that you have used?
how long did it take?

To date, P.E.S.A.`s from JLF. 25 days. They pinned invitro before 100% colonization. Took me by suprise. Here`s a picture of day 24.

yeah I agree I got awesome results from those jars from JLF however they are expensive....How do you figure they're hard to use?

It`s the jar type. I had planned to case them, dig out the substrate with a spoon. I ended up using a spoon to harvest. Funny, really.

the fastert strain that i have worked with is cambodian, soon acadian. the cambodian usually take 9-10 days to fully colonize quart jars of rye. after about 7-10 days more for casings to colonize and mushrooms to fruit. never worked with this particular strain though! mushies in the jar! damn, why dont you just case? after its done colonizing, just take it out with a spoon and case, thats all.

I was smart and I've been keeping tabs on some strains (races, whatever). (on cakes, birthed at 100% colonization, mostly). I also added a fun-ness factor (1-10), just my opinion mind you. Mostly for ease of growth and beauty.
PF: 21 days from innoc to till INVITRO pinning (8.3)
Cambodians: pinned 28days after innoc (7.8) wouldv'e done better, but they are fussy pinners)
B+: 25 days from innoc to pinning (9)
Australians: 23 days from innoc to pinning (9)
PF's albinos:30 days from innoc till it pinned INVITRO (9.95 nice and fun)
Equadors:35 days from innoc to pinning (got cased w/verm)(6- they seem to contaminate easily)
Tazmanian: 30 days from innoc to pinning (They set in the jar for a week at 100% colonization. The Taz just won't pin in the jar)(6.2-I haven't seen anything real spectacular with these)


Please note that your mileage may vary.
