well i wasnt expecting this. i hate both sides but edwards pulled it out big time. too bad i see the media is lieing and saying it was the other way around. o well

No one "crushed" anyone - they both responded with what was consistent with their campaigns. both responded intelligently and kept true to their ideas and strategy in campaign. They both did a good job.

What debate were you watching? I deplore them both but Cheney was definitely the victor in my eyes. It wasn't a stomping in any case -- Cheney started out VERY strong than faded a little. Both didn't answer the questions quite frequently. All in all, it went as expected.

Cheney kept repeating his "facts" and edwards kept repeating his. It's a matter of who you believe. I don't trust Cheney any further than I can tow a battleship in a row boat.

That aside, they were both quite solid on presentation. Though Cheney still comes across, to me, as an evil grand father. In any case they both stuck to their guns and didn't really give an inch.

Cheney lost because he couldnt stick up for his daughter on live tv. Cheney lost because he was off topic on too many questions. Cheney lost because he looks evil and he was hunched over like a villain.
Cheney lost because he seemed like a CEO whereas Edwards seemed blue collar.
Cheney lost because his healthcare plan was to attack lawsuites which have little effect on healthcare to the average person.
Cheney lost because he couldnt refute any of the Haliburton charges.
Cheney lost because he blatantly lied about saying he hasnt met Edwards before.
Cheney lost because he blatantly lied about saying he didnt say there was a connection between Iraq and 9-11.
