I Smell BS, Cell Phone Recordings
    #3157224 -

I was talking to this guy who said that all cellphone conversations are recorded by computers and that there are actually people monitoring/checking all phone calls. If you mention doing anything serouisly illegal, they start an investigation on you. He claimed to know this because he threatened someone once over a cell phone, and the police came to his door, asked if he was who he is, and told him they were monitoring the phone call and gave him a strong warning.

Now it sounds like to me the guy on the other end called the police and they used that BS story so he didn't get angery at him for snitching. It's hard to believe they could waste so much time & resources on something like that.

The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

It is possible to have passive filtering with voice recognition listening for certain keywords. I do believe that it is possible for seriously illegal things, dunno. I dont think "cops" are involved with any of it though.

I read something about that in cannabis culture a while back, said that you should turn your cell off during deals and such since cells are easy to tap and even if your not talking on it they can hear conversations in the same room as the tapped phone. I don't know if it's true but I've been paranoid ever since I read that. be carful

Exactly, all calls are monitored by computers but only certain calls containing certain keywords are redflagged, recorded and passed on to a person to actually listen to it.
But this isn't something any local cop would have any access to, it's used for national security issues.

Ive heard of it. What I heard was that almost every electronic communication is intercepted and stored (cell calls, email, etc... which I find hard to believe) problem for them being sifting through all the garbage.

ahahahahaha what model of cellphone? and when did this happen?

I used to do things like that to people who used cordless phones when I used to have a scanner. You could pick up the older cordless phone calls, but yeah, I dont know about doing that anymore, especially with all the new "technology" in the cellphones.

I bet police can pick them up though, probably, but thats only if the scanner is PLUG'N'PLAY and they all get to watch a 5 hour intstructional video, which I doubt.

Worried about your cell phone conversations being monitored? I'm one step ahead of you!!!! Here's a device which some Churches are using in order to reduce the number of cell phones going off during their services. I'm curious though if this would be useful in jamming bugged signals?

Dear Lana,

Thank you for your interest in Netline and its products.

Netline, founded June 1998 by former communications and electronic warfare experts, has become the world?s leader in the development and production of mobile-phone jamming equipment.

Our principal line of products is the C-Guard cellular jammers family.

C-Guard Low Power (LP) - a cellular firewall designed for indoor use. The LP is the size of a VHS videocassette, and its effective blocking range is appx. 5-80 meters in radius, depending on environmental conditions.

Each C-Guard Low Power unit includes a remote control, which allows the user to increase and decrease its output power and thereby control the device?s blocking range.

Netline offers a range of optional accessories for the C-Guard LP such as a Car adaptor and a Reflector panel (Metal surface mounted to the wall behind the C-Guard. Using the reflector panel you will be able to make the C-Guard's antenna into a directional one).

Attached please find LP catalogue.

This unit was developed primarily for security market. The LP C-Guard is being used in many applications such as: governmental meeting rooms, offices, police interrogation rooms and other indoors applications to prevent cellular based eavesdropping or transfer of sensitive information.

In many countries, such as Mexico, we have many satisfied customers that can benefit from the advantages of this high quality product which complies with the high standards of the international security industry.

As far as we know the active cellular frequency bands in The US are 800/1900MHz, in order to block these bands you will need a dual band C-Guard.

Price of a dual band C-guard Low Power unit is $1,140. We are currently running a special campaign with the LP C-Guard and selling it for $885 US, this campaign is ending on September 30th.

This price is for a single unit and includes a remote control, which enables you to switch the unit on and off and also to adjust its range and strength.

This quotation is valid one month from today.

You may purchase directly from us.

In general, the C-Guard is a 'plug and play' unit - you receive the units calibrated to your relevant frequencies, and all you have to do in order to operate it is connect it to a mains 220/110Vac socket by using the AC adepter included. The LP C-Guard also has a remote control which enables adjusting its covering range, just like TV's volume.
To order, please fill out the attached order form and fax it back to us: +972-3-5109821.

You may pay using a Visa credit card. Alternatively, you may transfer the money to our bank account:

Israel Discount Bank (11), Lev Dizengoff Branch (147), account no. 351199, swift code: IDBLILITB147

Shipping expenses of a single Low Power unit to The US via UPS are:

55US$ + 20US$ (export documentation ? fixed cost per each shipping) + 2.31US$ (insurance) = 77.31US$

Please contact me for any further information,

I will be looking forward to your reply,

Sincerely,
Ms. Keren Hakak

years ago, the CIA or FBI (sorry, dont remember which one it was) admitted to having computers running that would put up red flags when certain words were said on the phone. Words such as "kilo", "bomb", etc. They claim to have retired this practice, but I think we all know better than to believe that.

actually the first time I heard of that was in the movie "enemy of the state" with Will Smith, Jason Lee, and Gene Hackman. Awesome movie, in it I think he said the've been doing it since the seventies, that's a pretty scary thought because you can only imagine the kind of crazy ass spy shit they got nowadays

Um, are you thinking about Echelon?

They never claimed retiring Echelon, but then again they (US) didn't acknowledge it's existance (other allies have done). But Echelon isn't used domestically, that's illegal.. unless you get somebody else to do it for you.

I would be far more worried about Total Information Awareness if I were you.

the patriot act gave feds the right to monitor any and all calls they wish without a warrant. i am sure there are red-flags they look for, and right now those red flags are aimed at terrorists code words and such, but im shure there are some drug flags too. i doubt they will waste their time with piddly shit people like me, but i am very shure they would use it against people like my dealers who sell an ounce a day kinda thing.
i also noticed a whole lot of cell phones can be traced now. all virgin mobile phones can be traced just like a low-jack, of course they give you the "option" to turn this off, but who knows if it ever really turns off or not.

My bro's high school has a jamming device which prevents kids using their cell phones in the school.. once you walk outside, and get like 50-100 feet away from the building, the signal begins to come back...
