substrat with ediblemycelium

i bought some substrat from a proffesional shroomfarm, but it was allready "kontaminated" with mycelium of champingongs or so, so my question do you think its ok when i sterilize the substrat and innokulate pan or cubiemycelium

i hope i know what youre askin???

if it has already had mycelium on it when you bought it, then i wouldnt use it, because not only will it be hard to eliminate all of it from the substrate, it will also already have all of the nutrients sucked out of it from the other mycelium. thats the whole purpose of substrate is to provide the proper nutrients for the germination and colinization of the mycelial network and fruit.

but dont you think that the nutrients still can be gathered from the killed-champ.mycelium-substrat, that they might even be easier accesable for the psylomycelium cause both species got a relativ similar chemicalstructure

think best is tryin it out with a part of that culture - and if everything runs good i got both some edibleshroomz and some real good lookin psilos
