ID needed - is this a fly agaric?????
    #3138188 - 09/15/04 12:07 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

I found it at the base of a tree. There was only one on it's own. I live in the uk (berkshire) and thats where I found it. It was in a grassy area at the edge of a wood. I was wondering if it is a fly agaric. If it is how much do I need to trip and how can I preserve it?

BTW the gils are white with a pinkish veil over them which has started to tear away.

I don't think it is. Try cutting it in half vertically to see if it changes color inside.

Happy mushrooming!
