How do you go about doing this using PF cakes?

i presume you take some compost, colonize it with the cakes in a compartment, and then birth it somewhere outside, then cover with some vermiculite.
or you just dig a hole, put moist vermiculite on the bottom, set cakes on the vermiculite, cover with some more of the stuff, and wait. it is inspiring to read hawk's outdoor tek as well.

and that I was just doing what was necessary to stay comfortable while I waited to die...

you dont really need to colonize seperately ... just crumble your spent cakes and mix them with the manure... dig a hole and plop it in there... cover with this black stuff that they use to cover lawns when they put down new seeds, or cover it with fresh leaves ... basicly what your trying to do here is keep the moisture up and not get any flies to fuck up your crop... peace and good luck

go fish
