Shrooms in Alabama
    #3084335 -

I was driving down a country road today and noticed in a field that had recently been cut for hay and rolled that there were some large shrooms reaching up out of the grass. Now these were pretty good size because I noticed them while driving down the road.

Is there any chance of these being a cube or an active shroom being in north ALA?

Should I go back and check them out?

Yes, I've found them 1.5 hours south of the north border.

probably 'green gills'. in my experience if you can easily see them from the road they're not cubensis. although i have spotted some rather large ones from the road after looking pretty hard. if it's a bunch of big white caps in a freshly mowed field you most likely don't have cubensis. these things have tricked me many times so i wouldn't waste my time checking them out.

Hey I live in North Alabama and have found shrooms growing in Horse manure which looked exactly like Copelandia C. compared to mushroomjohn's website and this one. I ingested them first dried by food dehydrator... found out later that the heat kills the good stuff. Nothing happened that night. Again I ate the mushrooms but this time fresh in a smoothy w/ Daquiri mix (went out and picked more). Nothing happened then either. The next day frustrated I ate 9 of them (some were big) and absolutely nothing happened, but they look just like Copelandia C. and this website says that they are found in my state. Anyway the question I want to ask is what kind of mushroom am I finding and if anyone knows anything about natural tolerance to shrooms? Thank yall.

Here is a copelandia cyanescens that I found in the same field as those antilarums.

These are usually much smaller and bruise extremely blue after about 1 minute. I wish I had taken pics of this one after it started to bruise. The bruising was very intense.

like he said. copes bruise blue really easily. P. ants. do not bruise and tend to get a bit bigger on average. They are also more white than gray.
