I've got a cake that is becoming covered in white fuzzies. From what i've read ita a humidity prob. The sealed container itsin is @92%. I have the cake resting on a clay pot holder yet the holder doesnt appear to be drawing much water to the cake. should i submerge the holder so it will draw more moisture to the cake or will this hurt the cake?

Everything sounds fine...alot of times the cakes gain a fuzzy layer of mycelium just prior to pinning...

ThankYou, after reading all about the humidity problems& fuzz i was shaking my head at this fuzzy stuff. Do you know about how to sterilize casing? Ive read about using the microwave for 5 min. but it seems to me that a pressure cooker would be best.What would i put it all in to keep it from getting soaked?
