Free Virtual Synth/ Virtual Synth FAQ?

#3087482 - 09/03/04 02:48 PM (22 years, 1 month ago)

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here as a search didn't help me out much.. hope i'm not being too repetitive askingthis question.

but are there any free virtual synths or even trial version ones available online? wasn't one of the mods here(forget who) going to make a Vsynth FAQ? Because i'm very interested in these little guys, just dont understand why someone would pay $300 for one, when you could easily buy new ROMS for your current workstation for that much.

Any help is appreciated.

Also, I'm not sureif the whole sources issue comes up here.. but I'm curious as to who the cheapest/most reliable vendor selling recording equipment, synths, work stations, DJ Shise, etc etc.. is... Any help is greatly appreciated.

umm yeah... who was that?

I swear I'll do it, I just need some help from you guys.

Check it out: Any VST you'd like to write a quick summary on, PM me with the name and maker, website, and review and I'll start to compile them into a sticky.

hehe thanks for reminding me An

Check out http://www.kvr-vst.com/ssi/qmenu.html

Reviews of every VST imaginable and links to their websites. Lots of cool free VSTs are available. I recommend Crystal, Superwave8, Synth1, and Alpha. If you're thinking of buying a retail VST, I would definitely recommend going the Native Instruments route. All their products are top of the line. I personally use Absynth and I love it. Very versatile with a wide range of sound capability.
