Do I need to air out terrarium?

I have a HEPA filter in my terrarium to allow for constant gas exchange. The person I bought it from said I would never need to air it out for CO2 removal. I use perlite for humidification. Do I need to air out my terrarium? Also, how long can it take for B+ to pin? I have had my cakes in the terrarium for over a week and I don't think there are any pins forming yet. the cakes are getting fuzzier though.

I have a fish bubbler ouside the terarium and that seemed to air out just fine. Also hopefully bad spores may get stuck in the water. It worked fine for me. I got 3-4 flushes of poorly made rice pouder cakes(first try)
