Dr., when dried properly, very, very little potency is lost. It`s the only way to store them. I prefer fresh, simply because of the taste.

On the contrary, They are the most potent when they are as close to the natural state as possibe. Freezing wet or fresh is the best way to keep them over time. This is because some potency is lost when dried. The ony thing is you have to drop the frozen mass into boiling water. Trying to thaw them will result in dissasster. Also trip as many times as is possibe so you get the hang of things. Sometimes it takes years to achieve the proper conditions which are so vital to learning what exactly is happening. Freezing them wet destroys the cell walls...The only way I would freeze them is if they were cracker dry!

But if you are planning a trip in the near future, I would just put them in a paper sack in the fridge, or maybe on a 'button' palette. They will keep in there for 1-2 weeks..They are sooo much easier to down fresh.

Next time I would dry them with a fan and no heat, then to store them use standard quart jars away from direct light.......

Your cubies are like 90% water. Shriviling is good :)

There is some potency loss, but if you're storing your babies for more that a couple days they probably need to be dried.

This space for rent.
