Is karo really that difficult?
    #3031469 - 08/21/04 04:51 AM (13 years, 1 month ago)

What do you think? i hear people saying theyve never got it to work once.

Is it ok to run a hepa in a clean room? If I shut it off theres no airflow in the room so thats a good thing.

Karo rules:
1 teaspoon karo/100 mL dist. water
pc @ 15 psi for 15-20 min's
Let cool....shoot it up, done
Much faster than multi-spore innoculation

Karo is the :poop:

10 drops from a syringe will do fine. A little slower i think, but that makes the syringe last FOREVER well a long time anways.

I spotted some karo syrup at the store and decided to try it out one night. The syringe was the first I had ever made. All four jars have nice big balls of myc in them and nothing else.

I think the key is to forget about them for a week...most people seem to get worried after they don't show growth after a few days.

Karo's easy. I use pints half filled just cause 1/2 pints are kinda useless to me..

They'll grow in carmilized sugar but I hear it will cause mutants. I'm waiting for some to be done with carmilized honey (PCed for over an hour) but the myc grew fine and has knocked stuff up. Are you only pressure cooking it for 15 minutes? If so it might not be carmilized but just cooked and honey colored. Try Karo it stays clear unless you carmalize it and even then its faint.
