From the FAQ:

Wisconsin
Psilocybe azurescens (Introduced)

I don't think that means you'll find them, but good luck.

yeah, we really should have that changed.
introduced means nothing, all populations would die out after a single season. dont use the FAQ as argument support unless you take into account exceptions and logical inconsitancies.

when all else fails, generally, veterans on this forum are more knowlageable than the FAQ
after all, a few of them wrote it. and its rarely corrected for minor misprints

I'd consider myself a veteran of several of these forums. Had the dd archives memorized long before it went down. A couple months apart on registration shouldn't even be distinguished.

Notice I said the fact that it's in there (the faq) doesn't mean he'll find them. And I'd hardly call it a minor misprint, someone purposefully put it in there. Calling it psylocybe would be a minor misprint. Saying something grows where it doesn't is (almost) completely inaccurate. cubes should be listed as growing in every state by the standard that those were added. The fact that it's in there suggests that they "took".

Having followed your posts for several years your advice is held in high esteem by me. I do agree with your assessment that it should be removed. But since the veterans put it there, who are we to argue.

ARG! Shitfuck! That was supposed to be fixed! Everything that says (Introduced) in the FAQ should be completely disregarded.

... Sending Anno a message about this now. Hopefuly we'll get these errors fixed.

For the record: Azures DO NOT grow in WI.

Fugazi, yes it would probably be fine for you to have your first shroom trip on azures. The only reason I can think that people might have advised against it is firstly their potency (which can be compensated for by a lower dose, like jahfeelirie mentioned). But the main reason I think is that azures have been reported to have somwhat more pronounced bodily effects than some other species of shroom. This can include muscular / abdominal tension, and other 'odd' feelings in the body. As long as you keep this in mind and remember that it is a normal effect of the shroom and don't go thinking 'ah shit I've poisoned myself I'm gonna die!!' then you will be fine. Just go with the flow and enjoy yourself. The bodily effects only occur in some individuals some of the time anyway so theres a chance you won't even get them.
Good luck bro! By the sounds of it you might not even find any anyway, might be better off gettin some cube spores or something

That's a great idea. You can't say read the faq when people want to know what grows in their area. Then say don't trust the faq because we don't keep it current. This site is a magnificent resource and discussions like this should only help streamline it.

Cyans were found in KY and that doesn't really make sense either. Thankfully that is NOT in the faq.

Well, statistical anomalies should never disregarded.

Listen man, this is a community where we have good times and share information. I wasn't calling you a liar or anything. But when something like finding Psilocybe Cyanescens in Kentucky, it might be good to show some evidence such as a simple link or a quote. In the South East Cubensis thread, you must show a picture as evidence or else your claim is not valid. I didn't mean to "go after you" I'm just trying to get some evidence to help support this wonder community.
Sorry if you felt like you were being attacked.

BTW, WTF is "textual evidence"?
I quoted textual evidence from the faq and that wasn't good enough for you. In fact, we all agreed it should be removed.

Was trying to help someone by telling them not to get their hopes up. Back off will ya?

edit: sorry for taking it the wrong way
I know everyone is here to help

Textual Evidence is evidence of text that shows a fact is true. Once again, I was not attacking you but evidence of a claim which could be controveral is always nice. Have a good day
