You have much luck with liberty caps over there yet?

The first person who gives a picture will be awarded a two thumbs up! :P

All i ate was three of the smaller ones and was feeling really good. I dont know if this is true. But it was told to me that azur's, have a natural muscle relaxer in the stem of the mushroom. IF anyone has a good insight on that, drop a comment! I took 1 gram exactly and i was quiet high. These are the most potent mushroom in the world. On every chart i have seen these are the best. Will be posting a picture of graph soon! Peace!

Like i said i was going to post the three most potent mushrooms found to date.

#1. P. azurensecens Psilocybin (1.78%) Psilocin (.38%) Baeocystin (.35%)
#2. P. bohemica Psilocybin (1.34%) Psilocin (.38%) Baeocystin (.02%)
#3. P. semilanceata Psilocybin (.98%) Psilocin (.02%) Baeocystin (.36%)

Hmm, are those the three most potent you've found? I am almost sure cyans, both kinds, and baeos are more potent than liberty caps.

That data is inaccurate. It is from samples of individual mushrooms, individual mushrooms can very significantly in potency even within the same patch. I believe even Stamets states he has never found an azurescen as potent as the one sampled there.

On another note... The azurescens are up in full force but I would greatly caution picking them on the Washington side of the border, especially in certain state parks. The rangers are fully in the know and are there just waiting for you. They have extra rangers on patrol this year strictly for mushroom pickers and with a lack of campers all they have left is to hunt down your ass.

Good luck and stay safe.

Peace

"That data is inaccurate."

Why?

The data reports the highest content found in a sample of the fungus. It does not state average or mean or anything similar. I believe there is no evidence to state that the data is inaccurate...at least that I am aware of.

You are correct. I was a little stoned when I wrote that.
The data isn't inaccurate but it is decieving. You know that when taking data like that multiple samples should be taken so you aren't taking measurements off extreme variants, as it turned out in this case. Taking multiple measurements off different samples would give you a more accurate portrayal of what the species potency is and also the range of potency which can be found within the species.

Peace

I did some magic and came up with the following average alkaloid concentrations of P. azurescens. The data used came from this source.

Enjoy!

1.45% Psilocybin, 0.303% Psilocin, 0.303% Baeocystin

Even the average of alkaloid content in P. azurescens exceeds the maxima of the other tested species.

azures are definately the most potent known species by far, but you are right about it varying alot from sample to sample. The liberty caps from my understanding are in the top 5 in potency, supposedly exceeding the potency of cyans but like you said it is somewhat limited sample testing this info comes from. As far as the azures having a natural muscle relaxer i think that is false, they have higher levels of active chemicals which in higher doses can cause slight to temporary peralysis in the muscular system. at any rate if anything ive said is false let me know just trying to pass info...

I found this interesting chart a while ago, but it compares the maxima of Psilocybin, Psilocin and Baeocystin.

There is definately a seperate chemical that can cause paraylsis when ingesting azures.

The effects are more latent that the psilocin and last much longer. The onset is at about 4-6 hours and can last up to 24 hours.

I have experienced these effects many times and can say that they are present.

I heard that in Oregon cops are a problem when picking Azures in Astoria.

Possibly.
I have heard rumors of Oregons funding being low this year for state parks and such, I'm not sure about city police. I would imagine they are keen to what people are doing but aren't going out of their way to impose on it too much. I was just saying that in Washington the park rangers are making their presence known and enforcing the rules strictly.
I have it on good authority that arrests are a common occurance this year. I'm not trying to make anyones decisions for them, cause it is a candyland for Azures but there is a REAL situation that they should take great caution in if they are going to do this.
I know up here we are especially fortunate in being able to pick comfortably without much hassle from anyone but I just want to make sure that same attitude isn't carried down there cause that won't be the case.

Review this chart. http://www.clearwhitelight.org/hatter/mushrooms.htm

I believe that cyanescens are more potent that liberty caps. The psilocybin rate is a little over 10% more in liberty caps, but the content of psilocin in cyanescens is more than 30% more, which is more potent than psilocybin because of its molecular weight structure (even though your body converts psilocin to psilocybin).

Cyanescens in my experience are more potent. I have ingested 20g fresh of liberty caps, and didn't trip as hard, or as long, as when I recently ingested 13-14g of cyanescens.

Other way around... Psilocybin is converted to psilocin. That keeps getting thrown around the last month but it's backwards.
As far as potency goes, I think woodlovers are all so damn potent I don't think it matters which is more potent. I don't think anyones scales are accurate enough to dose out 1.373 grams of Azurescens instead of the 1.392 grams of cyanescens needed if ya know what i mean. Never had libs, although i expect to indulge soon.

Peace
