hey guys it's been a while since i've posted... right now i'm chillin' on some wonderful opiods.. anyway, i just wanted to see how everyone's doing and if anyone went to 311's summer tour this year.

i went to the riverside ampitheater in cincinnati (outdoor show)... the day of the show it was absolutely pouring, but it had no effect on the show... they came out and serously rocked. they played a lot of their old stuff, and just completely put on a great show.

I've never really been a big fan, but I admit I havent really listened to much of there stuff either.

They were good live? who opened for them?

The Roots opened for them... and 311 puts off such great energy when they play live..

I like their first album a lot. They are really cool. I'd love to see them live sometime.

the roots are great i saw them like four years ago in this little club and it was completely empty
they put out such a high level of energy and some funky ass grooves

311 was pretty much my favorite band all through childhood (up until around 15, anyway)..

I still like them and think they have a ton of positive vibes to give out, but they just seem like jock rock to me whenever I'm not sober :sad:

I saw them in columbus.  I don't listen to them a whole lot.  They sounded really good live :smile:
