Is that the harbor freight chain hoist? Love hate relationship with that bastard. Usually when it gets stuck it's one of the chain links getting lodged at a weird angle or otherwise stuck to each other, solution is usually some combo of an angle that relieves enough tension to get play, and a good hard whack.

used those same hoists when I scored a free craftsman v-twin garden tractor on CL cause it had been abandoned for years. Got it running, turning it into a giant glowing crab art car... eventually. been slacking on that project lately

Neiko brand hoist, probably similar to HF, idk. It's internal, chain looks good. I was close to the grease and hammer, but ended up using a come-along to raise it a little more to free the hoist and gently lower it.
Grass is cut, mostly.

Fuck yeah on that crab car !

There are few problems that can't be solved with a proper whacking.

Also, why does my tooth hurt more the later it gets?  Pick a side, you calcified bastard!  Or maybe it's booze that's pissing it off.  Or maybe my backwards-ass brain means booze works backwards and makes me less resistant to pain.  Fucked if I know, all I know is I really can't wait for this dental shit to be done with.  I wanna eat with both sides of my mouth again.
