Great discovery for me here, always been into trance but loved a few psytrance songs. Suliman is my all time favorite, becoming insane at #2.

New Shpongle sounds more like Hallucinogen.

@RiPpLeZzZ
Much love for Tipper. Seen him many many times throughout the years and it’s always a great time. It’s too bad he’s done touring, I’m happy go to a few more shows.

@Zef
Suliman is a great track and Vicious Delicious is an amazing album. I got into IM around when Vicious Delicious came out so that album will always have a special place in my heart. I think Heavyweight is probably my favorite track off that album.

@livingdream
Oh wow, I didn’t realize they uploaded anything recently, I’ll pop this one now. And ya that checks out that it might sound more like some of Simon’s solo stuff. Raja’s been in poor health for quite some time now so I’m imagine he isn’t able to help and be as big an influence of thier sound like he has been throughout the years. I feel so blessed to have been to all of the Shpongle Live Band shows at Red Rocks. Their music means more to me than I can put into words.

Here is another set I’ve listened to countless times over the years. It’s Dekel’s set from Moksha Purim 2020. One of the last parties before the pandemic shut everything down.

I love Dekel and he’s easily one of my top 5 maybe even top 3 producers in the psytrance scene. Plus it’s a Purim party, which is always a lot of fun. :lol:

Dekel's attention to percussion is superb :bow2: super hypnotic and confident in his own pace

I'm a skinny puppy fan too, so I will need to check that out!

And I completely agree on Infected Mushroom. I love psytrance, even though their psytrance didn't hit for me.  Their harder stuff did and I appreciate the experimentation and risk taking.

Here's a spooky one for the season.  And a rare instrumental only track from Kim Petras.  Reminds me a bit of IM.

Edit:  Tear Garden is on bandcamp :smile:  So I'll definitely give them a listen (and avoid the YouTube ads).

I love how melodic this is - gonna try to see her in December but the re-sellers are tryina ruin it

Turn off the lights volume 1 and 2 are full of tracks like that. Most of them have words though.

Definitely not psytrance but speaking of ruined things, brutalist is one of my favorites off detour.

I hope you get to go, I'm not good with crowds myself.

Her stuff with SOPHIE (rip queen) is also amazing if you haven't caught it.  Wake up with this in my head more days than not lately.

Here is a set Dekel just posed two days ago.

It’s like an ambient set and everyone is like laying down and doing yoga and stuff. Not what I’m used to from him but it’s a good listen.

This was great! Looped it 2 or 3 times over the weekend while doing chores.

More experimental bass music or something idk, but this is probably my favorite thing in the genre.

Koan Sound's album Polychrome is also great

Hell ya! Glad you liked it! :grin:

And ya, I’m a big resonant language fan, seen him quite a few times over the years. lol

He’s kinda “Tipper lite” as a genre (not in a bad way, just what I see people call it). I’d consider Bogtrotter in that same territory if you’ve ever hear of him. (And I assume you know Tipper :lol:)

So I always liked Sphongle. Around the world in tea daze was seminal in my perceptual renaissance on LSD and shrooms when I was 14.

I don't think I saw anyone post any Sphongle yet.

this is my favorite

I know these are old, but I have spent many nights tripping, listening to these. Phaxe is one of my go to.

Then there's this song Colors by Killerwatts and Vini Vici that blows my mind while tripping cause a lot of what you hear in the song is just the girl's voice being distorted to make sounds that flow into music.

Colors! A favorite of mine from when i just discovered psytrance. I feel like each artist got a turn, like each section has the voice of the artist who commanded it.

Super fun track!

And yeah, killerwatts is good go-juice. I highly recommend the recent beautiful chaos remix album:

@fiddle_head
We’ve had some Shpongle in here but there can never be enough in my opinion! Tales of the Inexpressible is peak for sure. Digging that drum album too.

@Bigworm
I hadn’t heard those first two tracks before but I liked them! Especially the first, it made me want to put on some Robert Miles or Ferry Corsten. Big fan of Vini Vici as well as Killerwatts and their solo stuff too as Tristen and Avalon.

@Dala
Oh, I haven’t listened to this remix album yet, thanks!
