Two more 'willow vs chainsaw epic battles' to go and it's time for my first dance with alleni.

I don't want to be a sentimental prick, but we play with the cards we get, so there goes.

My fiddling around in the cyan clade has really, really helped me make peace with my own existence, and the fact that some people and animals that I truly love, don't exist anymore.

They made me experience a fear that I've never felt for humans, had me laugh so hard it really wasn't funny anymore, had me travelling through time and space. I fucking love these shrooms from the bottom of my heart, and the alleni is the only one in the family that was still on the wishlist.

So. Today's the day. Fucking A

Gorgeous man!

Woodlovers, in my case Ovoideocystidiata, have provided me with visions in a way cubes just don't seem to. Like full on detailed visual scenes, "no different than having my eyes open". When this rare situation does occur I associate it with eating them fresh.

Eating fresh Ovoids in the wild is a deep experience, even just 2-3 small fresh ones are incredible, almost unbelievable with how small the amount is.

From a scientific perspective I wonder if it has to do with baeocystin, of if it's just the massive amount of psilocin. Ovoids bruise almost black, and I often find them with a greenish tint a lot of other species lack.

I just started cultivating again in July after a decade and a half off and have never grown woodlovers, but better believe next year I'm gonna clone the biggest mfer I find out there.

Journey well Churp.

Well, I have to wait for a bit because one of the kids walked in unexpectedly. Woops. Would've been fucked up if I were, well, fucked up.

But yes, I fully agree. Only grew ovoids for thd first time this year, but they were really good. Over the span of a month, I tripped on them three times (at home and at a festival).

My most intensely visual shroom trips have been on Pan cyan / bispo / PHV and Ps cyan / azurescens / subaeruginosa. Cubes, semis, tamps and everything in sect. Zapo didn't even come close. If it is the baeocystin, I held that position for years, but in the end I really don't know.

But it's a fact that 15-25 grams of Ps cyans have me flying through caleidoscopes on silver wings, and three times that amount of cubes is, it's great fun but it just doesn't really do much on the visual plane.

BTW absolutely, clone away. But as someone with an array of patches I'd say, just chuck a bucket worth of myc in a wheelbarrow's worth of chips. If you have established mycelium available, you can have a huge patch before the clone even hits grain.

It's funny you say that cause I nearly did that this past year, but was hesitant because "clean spawn".

But I just might grab a good colonized log and break it up and try from that.

Luckily I have all winter to do my proper homework on woodlover cultivation, I have high hopes.

I agree with yalls sentiment.

But change takes time and in the meantime I'd like to not fear for my life because a MAGA governor takes over my State and starts making it very hard for myself and other trans folks to exist.  As well as immigrants and other vulnerable populations.

I'm sorry, but Sarah was right.  It's easy to say the system is fucked so I'm not voting when MAGA isn't gunning for you and folks like you, making you the scapegoat for all their corruption.

But since we can't keep the topic off voting I'll see yall tomorrow.  Hopefully tonight brings good news in regard to my worries.

For me the problem isn't MAGA. MAGA has only been around for like 10 years. MAGA is a spook, just like ANTIFA is. I'm sure the folks caught in their fallout disagree but I suspect that this shit is all scripted years in advance. Behind the scenes team maga and team antifa both report to the same director.

People have short memories, but I remember when black people were labeled as "superpredators" and it wasn't by MAGA or even republicans. It was the Clinton's and the Democrats who encouraged that line of thought and as such police departments and the prison systems responded in kind. It was also at that time that the people on the right were crying for more censorship. Fast forward a few administration's and the script is flipped. Democrats and Clinton's are worried about the plight of POC, while the right is worried about the freedom of speech. Same issues, different sides.

The powers that be are counting on two things in this regard. First is that people have short memories and the second is that we don't notice the change in messages. That way everything continues along, we just rearranged the deck chairs.

I know MAGA is just one face of things.

But yesterday a candidate was on the ballot for Governor where I live who is in lock step with Trump.  Which is why I chose the language I did.

If he had won, and the state legislature had remained red, my partner and I were discussing moving because of how difficult he would have made our lives personally.

Us being able to move is a privilege not everyone has.  And sitting out a vote when the candidates on the ballot aren't targeting you specifically is also a privilege.

The vibe in the thread yesterday was like, I wouldn't vote out Hitler given the chance because the system sucks.  But I still pay taxes, even if they buy gas chambers, because I don't want to go to jail.

Anyway, a lot of folks did vote against the candidate we were concerned about.  And I'm very grateful that they did.

I considered not sending this...  Because I think it might end friendships.  But since people still wanted to keep quoting me after I said I didn't want to keep talking about it, here you go.

Youre good froggy.
Its a lot easier to say fuck it when they're not the one whos rights are on the chopping block.

I hope you didnt take my comment as "voting is pointless"; we always vote, we just dont delude ourselves into thinking much will come of it.

My eye starts twitching when I get around anyone that thinks we can simply vote ourselves out of the corporate hell-scape we've let happen over the last 50 years + is all.

Anyway.. heres a cartoon to liven up everyones mornings as they read the news

I hope I havenโ€™t offended anyone with my apolitical comments. I know some are passionate about these things and they often do come from being personally affected in some way. I see that as true for people on the left and the right. I have never ended a friendship/relationship over politics and I donโ€™t plan to. But if someone feels they canโ€™t be friends with me because I do not agree with their views I understand completely.

From where I sit voting at all (regardless of what side you vote for) legitimizes the system we are trapped it. A few crumbs will be tossed to the peasants where needed to keep us in line. I see people who vote as contributing to the system. But I think I understand why people do what they do. I also do not trust in rights. They can be taken away as easily as they were bestowed. Freedom is something I believe we are (or should be) born with but it is being eroded by the system. Once you lose some freedom you wonโ€™t get it back.

I have a lot of thoughts on the matters of politics, governance, and many will be unpopular. Heck I donโ€™t even like some of my conclusions. But I donโ€™t see anyoneโ€™s life getting better long term from our current form of governance/organization. I donโ€™t trust the government regardless of what puppet is in office at the moment. The bureaucracy is still the same. The lobby groups still have the biggest voice. Corporations are still unaccountable. The central bank still defines a lot of how the country is run. The people are still just collateral for the system.

Iโ€™ve been of voting age for 30 years. Iโ€™ve not seen much in that time to make me think my vote will translate into anything that will better better for me and my family long term. Once enough people have had enough and see through the facade,  I can see real change happening and it wonโ€™t be in a voting booth. It wonโ€™t be selling merch and holding rallies. Itโ€™s going to be quiet before it gets loud.

I actually completely agree with you pasty. I've always just stayed away from politics and not paid attention to it at all. Knowing that it's ultimately poison.

And Im actually glad you said what you did about voting being a contributor to the failed system.

I never thought about it that way. And it makes sense to me.

I used to be firmly against voting. And then I thought well nothing seems to be making a change or working so I might as well give this the shot and see.

And when it comes down to it since I've been alive we've had presidents on both sides and me and my family have always been treated in the same poor Manor regardless.

We've never had a helping hand or step up in life. Not Like all the privileged politicians in one percenters..

Thanks for sharing.

Pasty for president 2028.....
